The squamish is a heavy & typically violent wind occurring inside several of the fiord of British Columbia. Squamishes occur around people fiord orientated inside the northeast-southwest or even east-west counsel in which cold polar air may be funneled westwards. It is notable around Jervis, Toba, & Bute recess & inside Dean Channel & Portland Canal. Squamishes lose their nature & severity while unhampered the confining fiord and are non noticeable other than Twenty-five kilometre offshore.
